My Role

Full-stack developer. I built the Flutter app and the NestJS and PostgreSQL backend, with a focus on the accessible UI and the gamified skill-training module.

Overview

MyAssistant is a mobile app designed to help people with Autism Type 2 manage their daily tasks. It uses visual task cards and includes life simulation games to practice real-world scenarios in a safe environment.

Visual Task Cards - Clear images and step-by-step instructions for each task
Time Visualization - Visual timers so users understand how long things take
Life Simulations - Practice shopping, using public transport, money management
Caregiver Dashboard - Lets caregivers track progress and customize routines
Accessibility Options - High contrast, large buttons, text-to-speech

Backend: NestJS with PostgreSQL
Local Storage: Hive for offline data

Design Considerations

I focused on keeping the UI predictable and calm. Early versions had too many colors and animations which was overwhelming, so I added a "calm mode" with muted colors as the default.
