My Role

Full-stack developer. I built the cross-platform app and the NestJS backend, and integrated the AI chatbot and the OCR document scanning.

Overview

Health360 helps elderly users manage their health - medications, appointments, and medical documents. The app is designed to be simple to use with large buttons and voice interaction.

Medication Reminders - Customizable alerts with refill tracking
AI Assistant - Voice or text chat to ask health questions
Document Scanning - OCR to digitize prescriptions and lab results
Appointment Calendar - Track visits across different doctors
Accessibility - Large text, voice control, high contrast mode

Tech Stack

Mobile: Swift (iOS), Kotlin (Android), Flutter for shared features
Backend: NestJS with PostgreSQL
AI: Dialogflow for chat, Google Cloud Vision for OCR

Challenges

Voice recognition was tough because general speech-to-text doesn't work great with elderly speech patterns. Had to add contextual hints for medical terms to improve accuracy.
